My 7 Days of War

#1 SHOCK Woke up from the message ‘They introduced martial law and I’m hearing explosions.’ I’ve never seen such long queues to ATMs and perplexity on pedestrians’ faces. Intense panic attack. Rejection and denial of reality.

#2 FEAR Multiple parallel flows of real and fake news. Those air raid sirens are driving me crazy. Packing my small emergency bag with a vivid under-standing of the values of things around. Nothing is important anymore unless it’s human life.

#3 ANXIETY Texting ‘How are you?’ has really become valuable now. We’re fucked but, please, tell me you’re alive.

#4 UNITY Have never ever felt such endless love, strength and unity with my people. The strongest nation ever lived. I’m proud to be Ukrainian.

#5 ACTION I’m staying here to help my people who suffer more than me, who are seeking mental and physical shelter. Every mickle makes a muckle.

#6 SUPPORT Forever grateful for support from my friends around the world. You worry, offer help and support, go on protests, speak up and act consciously. I’m crying from emotions.

#7 FAITH Making this artwork and recording the sound of air raid sirens from my bedroom. We will win and rebuild the most beautiful country in the world. Glory to Ukraine!
