Close Encounters

Utilizing the facade of the building as a gravity-defying universe and its windows as portals that lead to vibrant spheres of imagination, or yet-to-be-revealed gradients of emotion, the projection features a speculative network of animated humans who curiously trace and interact with each other’s long-distanced presence—welcoming a hug from the unknown. Despite its happening on a two-dimensional surface, the performance aspires to breathe beyond the wall it is projected on and share moments of reflection, nostalgia, and liveliness to Denver pedestrians.
